I'm in the middle of a major sewing stop. All I've done in the month of July is unpack boxes in my new apartment. Yet, as I type this, I'm still surrounded by chaos, so I'm not convinced I'm doing anything... I've invited people over on Thursday, thereby setting myself a deadline. Nothing like people coming over to force you to clean your house.
I had a little shock when I unpacked my fabric boxes and found tons of fabric! Ok, I'm now officially drowning in fabric, and I will make the big resolution. NO FABRIC (NEW, THRIFT, ANYTHING) UNTIL NOVEMBER. Three months is a good first step, I think.
Sigh. I really want to sew! Cleaning sucks.

Hi Reethi, welcome back! Good luck with your unpacking, but even better luck with the fabric fasting!! November is a big call! But don't you find going through your own fabric stash sometimes is as good as being in the fabric store fondling and dreaming of what is to be?
Reethi, I'm moving this weekend, and I'm trying to pack up all that fabric!!! I really have to start sewing from my stash instead of buying new. I found some gorgeous pieces I forgot I had. I'm not looking forward to unpacking everything either, even though I'm thrilled about moving to a bigger place.
*grin* Yep, when my sweetie moved in I was already at my parents' home and he kept calling to tell me went to put something away/move/etc and "found more fabric and yarn". He totally found all my hiding spots...and reorganized. It's fun to have found it all again, right? (pretend!) *hug* Good luck!
I agree, cleaning really sucks. Especially when you have cats and a house rabbit, you're sure to find an artifact or two.....
