Three versions of Vogue 1250

Am I perhaps the last person in the world to have made this dress? I guess I made up by making three versions of it.

Now, this is where you can call me stupid. I thought the first version emphasized my tummy in a way I definitely didn't like. What do I therefore do? Make 2 more versions. Call me stupid, people.

I guess I'll wear it when I've lost weight. In other words, when pigs fly. (Ok, I have worn the first dress out, but I ended up being self-conscious about my tummy the entire evening.)

Fabric - both the blue-green print and the red solid are from Fabricland - ~$3-4 a yard, part of the most recent Fabricland binge. The black & white narrow stripe was from Montreal, I paid ~$8? a yard for it.

These are great dresses and you look great in them, hopefully the more you wear it the less self conscious you will feel, otherwise I think Carolyn of Sewing Fanatic Diary fame turned this into an a line but kept the neckline.

I like them on you. I tried this pattern two times. The first one was refashioned into another dress and the most recent version wound up in the trash. Don't be self-conscious or just buy some shapewear. TFS

From this part of the world your dresses look good but if you are not comfortable it will show - I agree about the special underclothes - that might help.

All three version look great on you. The tummy can't be seen on the print dress. On the other I think I looked for it because you mentioned it. And one of the reasons I haven't made the dress is I wondered if I would need to wear spanx - firm me up under garments, cause of my own tummy problems I think it may depend on the weight of the fabric used.

I was too distracted by how flattering the bust is to notice anything wrong with the tummy. That said, if spanks are not your deal and these will go by the wayside, then I would cut them down into cute tops.
